French tech start-up looking for distributors for its water monitoring and predictive system based on AI

The French startup has developed the first underwater weather station for real-time and predictive monitoring of water quality, using connected devices (IoT) and machine learning. The solution is designed for all kinds of water environment (both fresh and salt water) and have multiple application: Aquaculture and Environmental Monitoring. The start-up is already engaged in transnational cooperation and is looking to expand its distributor network in Europe.

A Dutch transport company is looking for sustainable methods and techniques to secure the cargo in cages, without using plastic

A Dutch transport company is involved in less-than-truckload, full-truckload and network distribution of cargo. In order to operate more sustainably, the company is looking for new ideas, methods and techniques to secure the cargo in the cages, without using plastic or other environmentally harmful materials. Cooperation with partners is sought and a research or a technical cooperation agreement is foreseen. This request refers to an innovation challenge published on an open platform.

Portable tele-medicine solution for commercial shipping 

A Greek company active in tele-medicine market offers a remote system for handling emergency health incidents on commercial ships and scheduling crew tele-appointments with medical professionals. The system allows health monitoring through various medical devices and further medical consultation with physicians. It is the only FDA (Food and Drug Admin.)-approved marine tele-health solution globally. A licence or commercial agreement with technical assistance with shipping companies is sought.


Connected boating telematics system

A startup from Iceland has developed a connected boating telematics system that calculates a suggested safe speed for operators based on sea conditions, wave impacts and actual speed of the vessel. It delivers real time situation guidance, monitoring and trip insights and is especially useful for smaller vessels reaching high speed. The company is looking for application partners e.g. in search and rescue, fisheries, chartering, coast guard operations or crew transfer. The company is also interested to discuss options with specialized martime investment funds.

The Community of Practice Multi-use North sea at the ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality of the Netherlands is interested in solutions contributing to a sustainable blue economy in large offshore wind park areas.

• Finding new (national/international) business partners to realize mariculture within wind farms.

• Focusing on seaweed cultivation and shellfish cultivation within wind farms.

• Innovative techniques that can be implemented in the Dutch North Sea.

Cargo optimization

A Finnish SME has developed a cloud-based solution for cargo optimization that increases efficiency in logistics significantly. It includes tools for packing planning, warehouse order picking optimization as well as vehicle planning and routing. The tools are based on space and route optimization algorithms. Vehicle can be anything from a matchbox to a pallet, a truck or a ship.

A Scottish startup is running seawater-farming projects around the world to contribute to climate resilience, diversification, biodiversity and carbon capture. By introducing artificial saltmarsh environments to redeveloped farmland, the projects promote sustainable agriculture and conservation by mitigating the effects of climate change, including irregular rainfall and rising sea-levels, tackling agricultural pollution, coastal erosion, and carbon emissions. The company is looking for academic and business partners for future projects.

Marine safety ladder

A Danish company has invented a marine safety ladder that is visible, durable, versatile, sustainable, and economic. The ladder is constructed of reinforced plastic modules in a UV-resistant bright yellow colour. Thanks to a solar-powered light unit it is visible even at night. The modular system can easily be customized to fit each place. Contacts are sought to ports and municipalities interested in installation of the system as well as to sales agents or distribution partners.
